Each year, the Connecticut Unit hosts an Herb Symposium at the Pond House Café in Elizabeth Park — a day designed to inspire fresh ways to bring herbs into everyday life. Guests savor an herb-infused morning snack and a delicious lunch prepared by the Pond House, featuring herbs handpicked by that year’s guest speaker. Add in browsing the Herbal Boutique and strolling the park’s beautiful gardens, and you’ve got the perfect day.
The Herb Society of America Annual Herb Symposium 2026
Our 2026 Herb Symposium was a celebration of plants, creativity, and natural beauty from start to finish. Featured speaker Janice Cox — nationally recognized author and educator — brought her expertise and infectious enthusiasm for herbs, roses, and natural beauty, inspiring attendees to see their gardens (and everyday lives) in a whole new light.
Every guest went home with a copy of Janice’s book, Beautiful Roses — a lovely keepsake from the day.
There was plenty to love beyond the talk: browsing handmade culinary and crafted treasures at the Herbal Boutique, and strolling our Herb Garden in Elizabeth Park on a gorgeous afternoon.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this symposium one to remember. See you at the next one!
