Our purpose is to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of herbs, guided by our mission to promote their knowledge, use, and delight. We offer diverse programs, including educational tours, lectures, plant sales, and an annual symposium. Join us in celebrating the beauty and benefits of herbs through our engaging community and enriching activities!
March 26th from 11 am to 2 pm at the Pond House in the historic Elizabeth Park
This year’s event, sponsored by the Brinley Speakers Fund of The Connecticut Unit of the Herb Society of America, offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about plants we already grow that we don’t know are edible, and easy ways to use herbs in food and drink.
We invite everyone to join Elizabeth Park Thymes and help organize and participate efforts needed to maintain our beautiful herb garden.
As a reminder, active members are required to work at least one Wednesday morning each year. If you can’t make your scheduled time, please do your best to trade dates with another member.
We’re excited to announce that we are using Sign Up Genius to make signing up for shifts at the Elizabeth Park Herb Garden easier. This online tool shows all available dates, needed volunteers, and those who have already signed up. You will receive an automatic confirmation email and a reminder a few days before your shift.
